How it started
Bitcoin Academy started from the need for knowledge that we saw after Bitcoin started being more present in society. We believe that other people should benefit from this cryptocurrency evolution. Thus we created a platform that will allow newcomers to understand how the crypto market works, how to start, and many more.
Scope & Goal
Everything started with Bitcoin. But now let’s see why.
Since its release, Bitcoin has been a very controversial subject among financial experts. If we look behind, Bitcoin cost $1.00 in 2011 and it reached $50.000.00 in 2021, and it is expected to grow even more.
Now the majority of people don’t even know how this thing works, what is a cryptocurrency and not to mention getting crypto into your wallet. Thus, we started the Bitcoin Academy project, to teach people both the classic financial sector and the crypto one and how to combine them.
We believe that financial & crypto education is very important, as companies like Wikipedia, Microsoft, AT&T, KFC, Tesla, and many more are already starting to introduce cryptocurrency as a payment method.
Our goal is to introduce you to the digital world of cryptocurrencies, the future financial market.
Although today cryptocurrencies represent a high-risk asset, maybe in 10 years or maybe earlier, it will become the next monetary system thus it is a brilliant idea to start early and be 100% prepared.
Besides that, you can make a lot of money these days by investing in crypto, as there are more than 4000 cryptocurrencies on the market today.
So what are you waiting for?
What is crypto?
Cryptocurrency is a virtual (asset) currency that is secured through a process of encryption called cryptography, hence the name of cryptocurrency.
This asset is designed to work as an exchange channel, so as a coin owner you actually own the record of that coin stored in a register in the form of a database. Because it uses strong encryption algorithms, your asset is 99.9% safe; besides that, it is nearly impossible to counterfeit a cryptocurrency.
Cryptography is not only used to secure the currencies but to verify the ownership transfers, to secure the transaction records, to control the creation of additional coins (a process called mining). These virtual assets do not exist in physical form so they are not controlled by some authority, at least for now.
How are cryptocurrencies created?
Cryptocurrencies are created through a process called mining. It works as it follows: the miners are repeatedly hashing the blockchain header until one miner succeeds to produce one valid block hash. Once the valid block hash is obtained, the founder node will send the block to the network.
A miner is a special computer that validates transactions. His main role is to make sure that there is only one valid transaction log and that all transactions are completed based on the specific cryptocurrency rules. Moreover, the distributed algorithm makes sure that a new block is generated every roughly 10 minutes. The purpose of this process is to ensure there is a consistent account balance across all accounts.
Why is it important to learn about crypto?
Although cryptocurrency are relatively new, they have a huge potential in the years to come. Technology is evolving with an exponential speed, each year new methodologies, new principles, new technologies are created and soon enough everything on the planet will be digitized. Crypto has the potential to become the new financial system, a digitized form that is more secure, faster and more flexible. Keep in mind that this is just the beginning and will grow even more in the next decade, and those who are prepared from time will reap the fruits.
